School Sheep

March 5th 2004

We have now finished our igloo which appeared in the local newspaper & photos of the finished product were requested by Neil Griffiths, Author & Course Tutor & our Area Link Advisor!  The children thoroughly enjoyed using the igloo for role play, numeracy & literacy work and prompted some excellent discussion on snow & penguins!!  Thank you to everyone who helped us by collecting bottles.  We are presently targetting further improving our fully staffed playtimes with guest slots eg.  volunteers/specialists teaching games & skills at playtimes (10.30-10.50 & 2.30-2.50).  Activities to date include circus skills, traditional games, football skills, parachute fun, bubbles etc.If you have any ideas or would like to volunteer time, ideas or resources to supplement the above ideas or a different activity we would be very pleased to hear from you!!

SCHOOL PARACHUTE
We have utilised the joint village/school parachute for counting, alphabet. colours, co-ordination, sharing & generally having a lot of fun! This is truly learning through play.

Visit to Clarke Hall
The Infant Class visited Clarke Hall last term and had an educational and fun day for all. We would like to say a very big thank you to all the villagers and friends of Follifoot School who came along for the visit.
