New Permissive Footpath

The permissive footpath has now been opened as a collaboration between Rudding Park Estate, the Follifoot Cricket Club and the Parish Council. The footpath runs around the cricket pitch, enters the small wood behind the cricket club house and meanders through the wood, exiting on to the Pannal Road through the blue door (very ‘Secret Garden’). The path is well signposted and polite notices at either end request for it to be respected and for people to scoop poop etc! The footpath provides a circular route for the village with the added benefit of watching the cricket in the summer and maybe having a glass of something refreshing at the
clubhouse en-route!

The weather wasn’t exactly balmy for the opening but a very nice time was had by all and the children of Follifoot School were an enormous help as ribbon-holders. Mrs Hubbard seemed pleased with her plaque too!
